Once the home of an unsightly abandoned gas station on a highly visible site at the center of Salisbury, this development was afforded the utmost attention to aesthetic sensibilities during the planning process. Adjacent to the town hall and a congregational church, Jones & Beach took every measure to complement the colonial feel exuded by this quaint New England village. Based on a “street-scape” motif, period architectural treatments and extensive landscaping were worked into the plan to ensure a harmonious blend with the surrounding area. With vehicular and pedestrian cross-connections to both the town hall and church, the site serves to further integrate the community’s core and accentuate the small town feel one would expect to find along the coast of Massachusetts.
