Survey Technician/LSIT

We are seeking survey technicians / LSIT that will be working in a full-time position of responsible charge to complete inside and outside survey assignments.

The successful candidates office activities may include but will not be limited to: assist in conducting research to obtain the appropriate public/private land records and other pertinent information from various sources for boundary location, topographical and design surveys, location of right of way and utility locations to aid in collection of field data for field crews, office computations and calculation of stakeout points, review and reduction of field notes, preparing CADD drawings and other duties as assigned. Field survey activities may include but will not be limited to: use of robotic total stations, GPS survey equipment, data collectors and levels in order to perform land boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title and topographic surveys and calculations for municipal, commercial and private development projects, construction stake out and aerial control.

The position requires 2 to 5+ years of progressive survey experience, Surveyor in Training (SIT) or Professional Surveyor License LSI/LSIT certificate, or willingness to pursue licensure. The position also requires a high proficiency with survey field data collectors, robotic and manual total stations and GPS units (Carlson, Topcon), field data processing software (Carlson SurvCE) and ACAD software (AutoCAD, Carlson) and shall be able to perform physical tasks such as: line clearing, pounding stakes, setting monuments, and lifting and carrying approximately 40 lbs equipment in all types of terrain and year-round weather conditions.
